I worked on Tesla’s Castings team in Lathrop, California for the models S and X. There I was able to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design equipment aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing cycle time, and enhancing manufacturing quality. I developed and modified platforms, fixtures, and enclosures on existing equipment to improve ergonomics and conserve space. I was responsible for vendor selection and material ordering, driving cost reduction initiatives for new projects. I validated and characterized new equipment and fixtures for production implementation. I engaged in collaborative efforts with small teams to develop innovative and intricate automation equipment in-house. Lastly, I generated comprehensive manufacturing instructions, performed safety buy off, and instructed supervisors regarding new processes.
