Mission Concept Academy - Project Manager
In this project, I was selected to participate in NASA’s professional workforce development program, an opportunity to receive weekly mission design training directly from NASA scientists and engineers. The goal of my team’s mission concept was to design a probe capable of analyzing the composition of the Venusian atmosphere, helping scientists better understand its chemical makeup and planetary processes.
As Project Manager of a 13-member interdisciplinary team, I guided the development of our Preliminary Design Review (PDR), the key milestone in validating our mission concept. This involved coordinating contributions across engineering, science, and mission operations sub-teams, ensuring technical accuracy, and keeping the project on schedule. By combining structured systems engineering practices with collaborative problem-solving, we produced a PDR that met NASA’s standards and advanced our mission from concept toward potential feasibility.
